Job Title: Car Wash Attendant

Reports To: Assistant Manager, Store Manager
Hourly Rate: $17.00
Schedule: Varies; includes weekends, holidays, and evenings
Position Summary:
The Car Wash Attendant provides exceptional customer service while assisting customers with the safe and efficient use of the car wash facility at Big Valley Market and Fuel. This position is responsible for monitoring car wash operations, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, performing basic equipment checks, and ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide guidance on selecting appropriate wash packages and operating the equipment.
• Monitor the car wash entrance and exit to ensure smooth traffic flow and safety.
• Inspect vehicles for pre-existing damage as necessary and inform management of concerns.
• Clean and maintain the car wash area, including bays, vending areas, and vacuum stations.
• Perform light maintenance such as removing debris, refilling soap and chemical levels, and clearing blockages.
• Report mechanical issues or malfunctions to management promptly.
• Ensure the area remains stocked with towels, supplies, and promotional materials if applicable.
• Uphold all safety, environmental, and operational protocols.
• Maintain a professional appearance and wear proper uniform at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
• Outdoor environment; exposure to water, cleaning chemicals, and varying temperatures.
• Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and reaching.
• May require use of personal protective equipment.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Customer service experience is strongly preferred.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to follow instructions, adhere to safety procedures, and use cleaning equipment.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and have good communication skills.
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds during shift.
Additional Requirements:
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening per tribal policy.
